day 30
weirdly couldn’t let go of my url shortener last night and kept working at it before i went to bed. guess i got bitten.
kept on going with the shortener today. started to re-do it properly, without scaffolding. learned a lot and then got annoyed at having to remember everything. anne gave me permission to look at a scaffold while i was building my own, which for some reason i had been feeling would be cheating. got things working fairly quickly, couple bugs, and then built out new features.
day went pretty slow. not as productive as i would have hoped. helped out other people and learned a lot by explaining. funny how that works; hasn’t happened that way in a while. i really get the response cycle now.
through the afternoon got less and less focused, but kept hammering away at getting the features i wanted. some alums came by after class and did a little q & a. interesting to hear their post-graduation experience. got dinner with a few of them, came back, and there were still a LOT of people there. got some help sorting out my last bug, but couldn’t quite get it licked. gave up and went home.
